Kaleb, who recently won the 2024 Ontario Independent Recording Artist FCLMA Award, is a Canadian singer-songwriter, folk rocker, and prolific recording artist. He will be gracing our stage to share his music and his journey.

Kaleb Hikele, best known for his work under the moniker The Sun Harmonic, has just released his 12th independent studio album, My Mind Is Like a Radio.  Written and recorded entirely in one spring season, the album showcases Kaleb’s unique approach to music production. Recorded in a retro style with a-song-a-day studio sessions and mixed in Mono sound, this album reflects his deep appreciation for the vinyl records in his collection.

Kaleb’s musical career began in high school with three solo albums, privately released and sold at local performances in St. Thomas, Ontario. His move to Toronto marked the debut of The Sun Harmonic in 2009, under which he released three albums over two years. Over the past decade, Kaleb has toured extensively across Canada, performing with a variety of ensembles from opera singers to rock trios.

His diverse projects include The Broadview Band, a soul/R&B duo, and the hard rock group King Snake Crawl. One of his most ambitious works, the double LP Winter,  was written and recorded over eight years, exclusively in the winter season, and released in 2017. His cross-country folk album, Coast to Coast, released in 2021, marked a decade of his musical journey as The Sun Harmonic.

Kaleb’s work has gained recognition on platforms like Netflix, SiriusXM, and CBC Radio, among others. He has received nominations and awards from several prestigious organizations, including Canada's Walk of Fame and Record Store Day.
