Friday Night Sessions returns with a piano-driven evening of originals and classic rock favourites, featuring Marcel Gelinas.

Born and raised in a family surrounded by music, Marcel’s connection to songwriting and performance began early. In his teens, he joined the rock band The Pillowheads as their keyboardist, where he found success on the regional stage, including a Battle of the Bands win in London and regular radio play on FM96. From there, he moved into new collaborations and solo work, continuing to develop his sound and voice as a songwriter.

Alongside his original material, Marcel performs selections from artists like Elton John, Ben Folds, Billy Joel, Cat Stevens, The Beatles, and Pink Floyd—blending piano-led arrangements with a classic rock sensibility. His original songs often explore themes of memory and recollection, shaped by years of recording and studio experience at E-Mac, Fanshawe College, and OIART.
