The Leon Brothers bring their shared history, tight harmonies, and road-tested songwriting to The Bunker for a Saturday Night Live performance on February 21.

Mike Leon, a singer-songwriter from Hamilton, Ontario, is known for his vivid lyricism and rhythmic, foot-driven folk style. His debut EP Ticket Home received strong attention, and his single “Hey Boy” earned national airplay on SiriusXM’s North Americana channel along with a 2024 Song of the Year nomination from Folk Music Ontario.

Mattie Leon draws inspiration from the songwriting traditions of the 1960s and ’70s, blending classic influences with a modern approach. A versatile musician on guitar and piano, he has toured extensively across Canada and received recognition from Folk Music Ontario and the Canadian Folk Music Awards. His work has been heard on SiriusXM, CBC, and beyond, and he has shared stages with artists including The Trews, Gord Sinclair, Rose Cousins, and Whitehorse.

When the Leon Brothers perform together, their long-standing musical bond is front and centre—two voices shaped by shared experience, years of collaboration, and a deep respect for the craft of songwriting.

Join us at The Bunker for an evening of original music, close harmonies, and stories told the way they’re meant to be heard—up close, in our listening-room setting.
